Lange vor Corona geplant und zum Glück nicht wie vieles andere ausgefallen: Der Wanderausflug mit Tom & Denny. Am Samstag früh ging es früh mit dem Auto zum Forsthaus Strelitz (dazu später mehr), wo wir das Auto schon mal abgestellt haben. Dann ging es gut equipped auf die 28km lange Wanderung durch die Mecklenburger Landschaft. Eigentlich wirklich nett, wenig Leute und viel Landschaft ;-)…leider gastronomisch noch recht unerschlossen. Aber wir wollten uns ja auch bewegen. Nach knapp 7h Laufzeit sind wir hungrig wieder am Forsthaus angekommen, wo uns dann ein kulinarisches Feuerwerk erwartete. Wer die Gelegenheit hat bei Wenzel Pankratz mal essen zu gehen sollte das unbedingt tun, ggf. in Verbindung mit einer Übernachtung in einem der wenigen hübschen Zimmer (mit der Weinkarte kann hinterher sowieso keiner mehr fahren :-)). Hier waren wir sicher nicht das letzte Mal, eine der seltenen Gastronomie Darbietungen wo nicht mal der Steffen was zu meckern hat. Nächstes Projekt wird auf jeden Fall mal der Besuch per Fahrrad, sind ja von Berlin bloß 100km ;-)…

If you have the opportunity to have dinner at Wenzel Pankratz, you should definitely do so, possibly in combination with an overnight stay in one of the few nice rooms (with the wine list nobody can drive afterwards anyway :-)). Here we were surely not the last time, one of the rare gastronomy shows where not even the Steffen has anything to complain about. Next project will be the visit by bike, as we are only 100km from Berlin ;-)…
